What Services Does South Texas Vein Institute Offer?

South Vein Texas Institute specializes in treating vein disorders like varicose veins and spider veins. Our doctors perform minimally-invasive procedures that include the following:

• Sclerotherapy
• Microphlebectomy
• Endovenous laser ablation
• Radiofrequency ablation

They may also prescribe conservative treatments, which don’t involve operations, like compression stockings or keeping the legs elevated. Our vein doctor can help you determine which treatment is best for you during a consultation at our office in the McAllen area.

When Should Somebody See a Vein Doctor?

Spider veins and varicose veins are often regarded as purely cosmetic concerns. That may be true in milder cases, but untreated veins can eventually lead to complications. Patients in McAllen with spider veins and/or varicose veins can use certain self-help methods to keep their veins from getting worse. But a patient should definitely see our vein doctor if:

• The affected leg aches
• The affected leg swells
• The veins start bleeding
• The area around the affected vein starts itching
• The skin around the vein becomes inflamed or changes color
• Open sores or ulcers develop near the ankles
• The patient is concerned about how the veins look

If you are dealing with any of the abovementioned concerns, make an appointment at South Texas Vein Institute in Edinburg right away. Contact us today to schedule your consultation with our vein doctor in McAllen!
